The Beauty Lodge Day Spa
After trying to book a spa day for absolutely ages, my best friend took the initiative and booked it for us and I'm so glad she did! It was a lovely little escape from reality.
From the outside and throughout, the presentation and the set up of the spa is beautiful. It's in a lodge style layout. The spa is open from 9:30-6pm, Wednesday to Saturday. It's based in a residential area and so parking can be a problem during the week days however, you can pick up a permit from the spa at a cost. We went during the weekend so we were able to park for free around the area.
You go in through the gate and then turn a corner and enter the outdoor area. You're welcomed by this lovely swing, which you obviously have to get a photo on, as we did! There's a wonderful garden area with seating available, where you can possibly have afternoon tea when it's a lovely day.
This whole area seemed like a retreat, they even have a fish pond! During your time there you forget you're in North London, which is nice as you've escaped the hustle and bustle of the city.
The spa provides a variety of services like manicures, pedicures, massages etc. They also have spa packages to accommodate your requirement. It's nice as they also do party bookings if you have events like bridal showers etc. We booked the spa package as there was 3 of us- this package includes one hour's use of the spa and ONE 20-30 minute treatment, check out the website for more information.
I loved how we had the WHOLE spa area to ourselves. During our one hour we were completely alone. One of the staff member's came in 15mins before the end of our session to let us know, to shower and get ready for our next treatment. We enjoyed the privacy we had and how we were able to relax in the hot tub without being disturbed.
The spa room was quite a big room, fully insulated and felt really warm and cosy. You go in and there's 2 massage tables like the above photo, with robes and slippers on top. There is also a hot tub and sauna. You can also find a shower room which is so clean, cleanliness is a theme throughout this establishment which is amazing!
We wanted to have a massage however, only two of us could have it in the spa room and then one more person would have to go into another room. We wanted to stay together so we all opted for an express manicure- this was simply a file and polish.
After our spa session, we showered, dressed and got ready. We were then taken into another room. This is where you get your mani/pedis done. This was a lovely spacious room and it was nice how it was away from the main area. The photo above is of the pedicure station, I love the glitter wall!
Overall, we did enjoy ourselves at the spa. It was nice to have our girly time. I feel like if we went for the massage we would have enjoyed it a lot more as the manicures were a quick treatment. We would go again definitely for the spa usage! And maybe also choose another option to enjoy in the spa such as shisha, afternoon tea or a chocolate fondue. I do recommend this place if you have a girly event to host, the whole spa is very Instagram friendly. We took so many photos but unfortunately, can't share them all due to privacy reasons. Another reason why we loved this spa is because it was strictly women only. This was really important to us because we wanted to be free and not worry about bumping into guys. Many spa facilities in London have things like women only sessions, where certain areas of the spa is closed off for women but there is still a chance for men to be around. This spa is exclusively women only, with women also providing the treatments. So if you're someone who's a hijabi/ nikabi or someone who wants that extra privacy definitely check this place out.
Thank you for reading my post
