No they're not all the same
Today I thought I'd share my current favourite matte liquid lipsticks. Now, now I know they may appear the same but I can assure you they're not.
Nyx Lingerie in the shade Lipli- £7: This is a more dark purple/lilac shade. I'm going to be honest when I first purchased this I was oblivious to all the shades, undertones etc. I just heard people recommending NYX matte lip products. So you can say this was an accidental purchase. Nevertheless, I've used it a few times and it's quickly become a favourite of mine. Now I'm very careful to use the right amount of this, too much of it makes me look ghostly. I tend to use this shade to line my lips, I find this gives me the perfect look, makes my lip look plumper and it goes lovely with a pinky/brown lip colour. The texture is nice once applied, but it can get quite drying after a little while.
Tanya Burr in the shade Martha Moo: I never tend to go for really light pinks as I find it doesn't suit me. I like this shade because I apply it in the middle of my lip on top of a darker shade it gives me the perfect finish. The formula is soft and smells really good. I also like the feeling of the packaging, its smooth has stained glass look to it. Unfortunately this product has now been discontinued.
Milani in the shade Loved- £12.50: This is one of my first matte lip shades I purchased. Before I purchased this I was actually on the hunt for a dupe for the Kat Von D matte lip colour in the shade Lolita. I needed to save some money and heard that this was a great dupe and quickly picked it up! It was a great steal and the shade suits me so well! The texture is smooth and the formula is far from drying. I have since then purchased this shade for many of my friends and family members which shows how versatile the shade is.
Collection cream puffs in the shade Fairy Cakes 3: I first fell in love with this product when I was on holiday. I used to do a simple glowy, tinted moisturiser look and finish it off with a little bit of this. I really like the formula and the fragrance. The texture is smooth and glides on nicely. The shade is quite corally but combined with a pink lip it really looks nice and always reminds me of my holidays. Unfortunately this product has also been discontinued! I hate when this happens, time to look for a replacement!
NYX soft matte lip creme in the shade Abu Dhabi- £6.00: Absolutely adore these, what I like to call "little pocket rockets" NYX has a wide variety of shades and since purchasing this, I've also purchased back ups of this particular shade and others. I don't know if it's just me but I find the texture to be different compared to the NYX Lingerie. Once you first apply it, it has a shine to it but it sets matte. This shade is more like a light beighey brown. I like how it doesn't make my lips look or feel cakey
Overall, I really like these lip products because they maybe in the same shade family but they are all different in their own wonderful way. I know I've added some discontinued items and I'm sorry about that, I thought I'd include them only because they are genuinely my favourites.
