NARS Sheer Glow & Creamy Concealer Review
| Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - Syracuse Nars Creamy Concealer- Ginger |
The Nars Sheer Glow Foundation:
This foundation has revolutionised my foundation routine. Believe it or not, but since I've purchased this I don't even look at any other high end foundations. I've found everything I'm looking for in this. I use the shade Syracuse (MAC NC40 for reference) And I find it's such a great match thanks to it's warm undertones. It compliments my dry skin really well and doesn't cling to any dry patches I may have. The finish it gives is nothing less then healthy looking. I love the glow that my skin is left with.
The texture of this foundation is thin and lightweight- this is great as it's medium to full coverage, you can build it up without having the cakey feeling to it. It's also fragrance free which was an instant win for me. The only downside to this foundation isn't even with the foundation, it's the packaging! It doesn't have a pump this means it can be hard to control the amount of product that comes out, it can also get quite messy. But nonetheless now you can purchase a seperate pump for it- I'll definitely be looking in to this.
The Nars Creamy Concealer:
After seeing so many people rave about this concealer I had to give it a try. I must say... it wasn't love at first sight *shock* however, this wand of magic has really grown on me and it is now an integral step in my daily make up routine. The consistency is quite rich, which initially put me off it, but with the level of coverage it gives, that's expected. I love how it covers everything I want it to. It's a bit on the pricey side compared to a lot of other concealers out there however, because it's full coverage, a little bit can be used to cover a large area. Once again similar to the foundation, it is fragrance free. It's easy to blend in, it is a matte finish unlike the foundation. I use the shade ginger and this is a PERFECT match for me- it looks like my skin but better.
I purchased both these items from the Look Fantastic website- they usually have a 20% off code going which is useful!
Overall, I am yet to find a high end foundation to come anywhere close to how good this one is. If you're looking for a cheaper dupe check out The Oridnary Serum foundation, which is a close contender at a fraction of the price- Click here to read my thoughts on it.
